Full Description

The architects Quiggin and Gee's influence stretched across Liverpool and Wirral, The Chase being one of their 'grand designs'. Interesting, dramatic, imposing and certainly a very different design, especially for a property in CH43.. And so The Chase stands proud, yet also very well protected within its mature garden plot. A house with a significant amount of accommodation together with a comparable proportion of private outdoor space. More than that, The Chase also, not unsurprisingly perhaps, comes with a huge amount of character of its time, blended, of course, with a fine selection of contemporary....

Magnificent rooms, interesting architecture, attention to detail on permanent show for all to appreciate; the latter especially where it provides maximum impact within the grandest of a true reception hall, staircase and landing.

Entertaining space and the use thereof throughout The Chase is optional, can be chosen on a seasonal basis perhaps, on mood, or simply on numbers of people you're entertaining. Although of course all parties start and conclude in the hall; one option would be to remain in the hall or at least open it as an overspill. Picture the Christmas Tree or better still a chosen ice sculpture centre stage; all just part of the welcome...

Off here and to a formal dining reception room. More a winter room perhaps, sober, understated. In complete contrast walk across the hall and into the new kitchen area. A kitchen dazzling with granite, lighting and reflections. A kitchen that combines the very best of open plan family living space with modernity and style.

Two living rooms allow the family to really spread wide and apart. That could all be down to what's on TV at the time maybe, or for no lesser reason than to enjoy two very separate spaces with their own very separate ambiences from time to time. Better still leave the TV for another room.

And that 'other' room is what we've marked as the Games Room; for there's plenty of other spaces and rooms to play games. So this optional third living room could/would make a great kids TV room too. As long as they kept the volume low whilst you concentrated on your home studies in the over sized 'study' next door.

The point is that with so much space, so many gratifyingly well proportioned rooms comes a huge amount of versatility too. And on a practical note a cloakroom, store room, utility room and integrated double garage service this ground floor area of The Chase.

You'll want to take the main feature staircase to the first floor level during your first exploratory visits here although for convenience and day to day laundry exercises we recommend the 'servants' staircase that arrives back down to the utility side of the house.

Here up at first floor there are four bedrooms, two with en suite and a main bathroom. There is a sensational master bedroom suite; enviable both in size and finish. Consider the over generous 'his and her' bespoke hand crafted wardrobe and storage space; the central 'island' and the dressing table - all quite luxurious and with a full bathroom en suite, adjacent.

Tear yourself away from this luxury and stop at the landing, appreciate the miles of beautifully panelled woodwork and spectacular arched windows to the stairs both contributing enormously to the very heart and soul of The Chase. Extraordinarily elegant.

Up again to the second floor and here is were teenager battles will begin in earnest. Which teenager would not want to hibernate and clutter up either of these two fabulous en suite bedrooms. Sleepovers become a whole new thing. They could sneak upstairs to the attic room and cinemarise it and watch movies until the early hours - no one would ever know.

Back down ground level and to the 'great outdoors'. Probably the two most used rooms in the house would be those that have direct access onto a grand scaled Italian stone patio and garden. That'll be the living room with the double opening doors to the hall and with the patio French doors to the garden. The other room with access is of course the combined living/dining/kitchen room with its wood burning stove.

The grounds to The Chase are proportionate, mature and naturally, a delight to wonder through. Twin wrought iron gates (remote) run either side of a significantly deep front garden area. The rear, south west facing, is, as you'll experience, extremely private.

The Chase sits closest to the south side of Noctorum Road.. Central to East Wirral , Noctorum Road is especially convenient for all points of the compass; parents will be particularly keen to know the proximity of a selection of popular schools; Birkenhead School, BHSA and St Anselms all just a few minutes away by car. Drop the children off and head to the city for work. That will take just another ten to fifteen. For sat nav: CH43 9UQ
