Just four houses sit at the very end of St Davids Lane, at the edge of the Noctorum Ridge, allowing each to have some of the most spectacular views towards the west of Wirral, towards North Wales and Moel Famau and, on a clear day, to Llandudno, as witnessed on our day of photography.
Honeywood, in our view, commands the very best plot for no less reason that the house stands on the widest of the four. Wide enough indeed to provide a considerable turning/parking area front of house together with access to an integral garage and a detached carport across the other side of the drive, along with a sweeping drive to the right hand side of Honeywood that wraps around the house and provides additional vehicular access to a second garage.
More of the outside later. A brief resume of the accommodation first with the aid of our floor plan below: All principle rooms look south and west towards the garden and of those views, the vista of which is sensibly enhanced by plenty of large windows, as well as, as you might expect, bi fold doors to the main sitting room area. Indeed the very nature of design allows this room to extend into or onto the balcony area during said months. And during the winter, snug up to the wood burning stove and warm solid flooring and watch the elements from within.
Access to the family kitchen/ breakfast room can be via the hall or through from the currently combined sitting and dining room. This is also has a Nordic like feel to it - thick wood work surfaces and high gloss white units (together with an appropriate display of cookers and other appliances - of a mix of brushed steel and glass).
The second reception room, currently, as you can see, commandeered as the 'control centre,' has the same views, would make a seriously good sized separate dining room and also has access to the integral double garage, (more living space for the future?). Cloakroom and storage also services the ground floor accommodation.
Take the stairs down to the lower ground floor area and to what can certainly be classed as independent accommodation having its own access from the rear of the house. Bedroom, living room, separate kitchen with breakfast bar for two and a wet room. Patio doors open from the living room to the extensive patio area with garden below - very private views too. This space is also has an independent central heating system.
Up to the first floor; bedroom accommodation. Here there are five bedrooms with the 'master suite having an en suite wet room; the second largest bedroom having en suite shower room and dressing room and with three further sensibly proportioned rooms. The 'family' bathroom is fantastic. Both for size and for the shear fact that at this elevated height, the view is uniterrupted...and private; great then to have two clear glass windows from which to take in the view, keeping warm underfoot from the underfloor heating.
Back to the outdoors. You can't actually see Honeywood from St Davids Lane, which is part of the attraction: secluded, private. Remote controlled gates secure Honeywood from the front and the expansive forecourt, part tarmac', part Indian sandstone, allows for plenty of turning and parking space. The parameter of Honeywood is interspersed with Scots Pine. Around at the rear and there is more than ample relaxation space to be taken at lower ground level, although best of all at the higher balcony level - so you can keep an even better view of the children playing in the gardens below.
St Davids is to be found off Noctorum Road which runs parallel to the south and west side of the Wirral Ladies' Golf Club. It's a few minutes in the car to BHSA, Birkenhead School and St Anselm's and then another ten or so on from here to work in the city. Just think how much time you'd save not being in the car commuting from West Wirral every morning....For Sat Nav:CH43 9UD - Directions - Drive to the end of St Davids Lane, facing the arch but turn left immediately before the arch.
